You found me! I am a political and legal theorist. I study membership and belonging, democracy, and constitutions. I have a special interest in diaspora politics.

I was born in New York state and grew up in Northern Ireland. I studied American, English, and French law as an undergraduate and masters student before moving into political science for my PhD.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Political Thought and Constitutionalism at the University of Missouri’s Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy. My previous research has been published in Polity, and I have several in-progress manuscripts. See my CV for more details.
